October 4th, 5th & 6th, 2002
We got past our September, 2001 show, and looked forward to finally holding a Wasteland weekend not interrupted by total government failure, resident weak and stupid’s incompetence, or shit beyond our control. It actually looked like this would be that show too. We rescheduled the trio of guests that didn’t make the 2001 show, added as many others as we could afford to have to join us, and jammed the schedule of events with as many movies, talks, and events as we could fit into the weekend. The weekend of the show couldn’t have went off better. After holding two of the most stressful shows any promoter could imagine, everyone involved was ready to have a weekend that ran as smooth as silk, and this show did. We even got Herschell Gordon Lewis, the Godfather of Gore himself, up on stage to sing theme songs from some of his films on Saturday night. Smiles all around by the time we closed the doors Sunday evening and too many requests to start a second show were received from attending fans in the weeks following this show.
Guests for our third CW show included:
REGGIE BANNISTER - The Phantasm star was a hold over from the 9-11 show.
MICHAEL BERRYMAN - The Hills Have Eyes star was also a rescheduled guest from 2001.
DON PEDRO COLLEY - Black Caesar, Sugar Hill and THX 1138 star.
DAVID HESS - The Last House on the Left star made one of his first show appearances.
HERSCHELL GORDON LEWIS - The Godfather of Gore himself joined in on the CW fun.
CONNIE MASON - Star of Blood Feast and 2,000 Maniacs made her first show appearance.
TED V. MIKELS - Our old buddy Ted joined us again to promote his new film.
BILL MOSELEY - TCM 2, Night of Living Dead ‘90 and Devil’s Rejects star.
YVONNE MONLAUR - Circus of Horrors, Hammer’s Terror of the Tongs, Brides of Dracula, etc.
TOM SAVINI - The Guru of Gore effects made his first CW appearance.
TOM SULLIVAN - By now, we couldn’t keep the guy away and Tom became part of the family.
ROGER WATKINS - aka Victor Janos. Last House on Dead-End Street director made his only show appearance before his death at this CW show. RIP buddy.
